My Story My wife Valerie and I have been married for fifteen short years now. We have two wonderful children ages 8 (son) and 3 (daughter). We have lived in My Royal Ranger Story: I was asked a while back by a couple of the commanders, whom I also consider good friends, to get involved with Royal Rangers. It didn’t take much convincing and was a great way to spend more time with my son. It didn’t take long for this great program to become a passion of mine and the rewords for being able to be hopefully a good role model for the young men in our church and outpost has made my involvement priceless to me. I started out working with the Ranger Kids (5 to 8 year olds) and have been blessed by so many of them. You never quite realize God’s grace (and sense of humor) until you are able to start working with kids and young people. I have also discovered that you NEVER pray for patience because you will indeed be tested, and young boys do it best. Now starting in 2010, I will be moving up to Discovery Rangers with Anton and a group of older, more “adventurous” young men. I’m sure the training I will receive from them will also be something to remember and cherish for the rest of my life as well. Due to the relocation to My Hobbies: Hunting, Shooting, Minnesota Vikings Football, Camping, Fishing, Hiking, Golf (just lacking talent), Angle Food Ministries, spending time at church, and just about anything else I can do outside. |
